House and Garden Tours and Prestige Tours
Each year, the American Friends of Blérancourt offers two trips to private art collections and chateaux and gardens throughout the world. These exclusive tours offer exceptional opportunities to meet and discover individual collection owners and their properties. They help us meet our fundraising goals and raise money for the museum projects while broadening members’ artistic and cultural vistas.

Annual dinner
Each year, a dinner in New York is held to unite supporters from across the US and France. Those attending experience exceptional French cuisine prepared by signature French chefs in New York and accompanied by excellent French wines. A second day is devoted to a cultural lecture and reception related to the Château de Blérancourt’s museum collections and ongoing projects.
Lectures and smaller events
In the spring, luncheons and receptions take place, with cultural talks relating to art through French and American perspectives. A notable author, artist or lecturer is invited to speak. For more information, see For more information, see News and Events.
Traveling Exhibition
For 2009-10 we are planning a traveling exhibition of photographs and films selected from the archives of Anne Morgan at the museum in the Château de Blérancourt dating back to 1917. The theme of reconstruction in Picardie following WWI headed by CARD – Anne Morgan's women's volunteer organization – is reflected in the exhibition. A notable historian, the museum curator or a representative from AFB will speak on the role of Anne Morgan in this reconstruction and the creation of the Franco-American museum at the Château de Blérancourt.
Student Exchange
The first school exchange took place in 2008 between students from Palo Alto’s International School of the Peninsula and the local public school of Blérancourt, home to the Musée franco-américain du Château de Blérancourt. The experience and the welcome both in California and in France resulted in enthusiastic responses, and as a result the exchange will be repeated in 2009. This triumph has added a new dimension to our efforts of continued understanding and appreciation between the peoples of France and the United States. We hope to expand the possibilities of exchange to other schools in the future.
